Zach you out there bud? Critter Wanted - hellbound81 - 01-19-2007 Thanks chad, sorry but all of mine are keepers. Kaiju, did you but that one from Pugs? I think that use to be mine, if so, im pretty sure thats a one off. Theres a guy on ebay that makes an very accurate part 1. There is a seller on ebay selling one of his from Germany but is asking too much for it, about 315. If you can find the other guy selling his they can be had for around 200 - 250 and pop up from time to time. That part 1 is the only semi mass produced one i have, the rest are commissioned from Conor and a few screen used pieces. Good luck, gott a love the critters! Critter Wanted - kaiju - 01-19-2007 Quote:Thanks chad, sorry but all of mine are keepers. Hey man! Yep that was Pugs so i guess it was yours, i really like this one - i\'m gonna redo the toenails though they suck haha. I also have an early larger copy of the bump in the night critter - everyone elses i have seen in person is smaller and thinner castings even david ladys copy. I got lucky i guess. Which semi mass produced one are you talking about? I saw a distortions one on ebay and it sold, it was nice but dusty and over priced. The hair was matted a bit. I don\'t like the one that looks like a giant gray stuffed animal that guy from argentina always sells. I have never seen the one i got from pugs on ebay at all. Maybe years ago but for a long time definitely. Conors is awesome, the only thing that bothers me is i wish he would have done more hair on the front - otherwise its the best one! Light up eye version would be cool too. hint hint. Critter Wanted - hellbound81 - 01-19-2007 Quote:Hey man! The one from Argentina is the one im talking about, it reminds me of the big critter at the end of part 1. Ive owned the distortions critters as well, though i dont really care for them much. Mike at KreationX has the molds for them. Ive also owned the BITN one but it was very, very thin and not very well done at all, the paint started cracking almost right away. The ones that Conor has were commissioned by myself. It does have hand punched hair in the front, but the hair is very fine and doesnt pick up well in the photos. The one from pugs i beleive is a one off, its the only one ive ever seen. The toenails are very cheesy, im sure you could make them look alot better. I saw the one from Argentina in person, it really looked like a crane machine toy to me eeeeep sorry not trying to offend. But to each his own right? Kreation X\'s are from distortions molds? Wow didn\'t look like it the ones i saw...it must be for the smaller one right? Lucky for me i must have been one of the first to get BITN one and mine is super thick, heavy, big, and hairy. I think if i redid the hair color and paint a little it would be aweeeesome. Every other copy i have seen of it looks pretty cheap in comparison. I lucked out. I know conor was doing a few critters for you right? Did he finish any of the others ones besides the one in your profile? PM me with pics if so i\'d love to see them. The hair in the front of the belly was the only thing that bothered me about it. The grey one i got from Pugs is the only one i ever saw as well...not looking good tyson1530 my friend... ![]() I\'m totally redoing the nails in plastic, they will look much better. Critter Wanted - tyson1530 - 01-19-2007 WOW alot to take in ? cheers guys will just have to keep trying ? Dave Critter Wanted - hellbound81 - 01-19-2007 Yup. KreationX is from Distortions. I own an orig. distortions that Dan D. is redoing for me and i owned KX. They are not nearly as nice as the orig. distrotions. The part 1 from argentina is pretty cheesy, but so are the critters in part 1, the chiodos didnt have a big budget for part 1. Part 2 is what my commissions were modeled after, the budget was much bigger and it really shows in the quality of the critters. Conor is still doing 2 more for me with different paint schemes and hair and some crite eggs ![]() Critter Wanted - Critters - 09-09-2008 Here is a critter I have been looking at on ebay for awhile:http://cgi.ebay.com/The-Best-CRITTER-Life-...p3286.m20.l1116Its pretty spendy though, $370 including shipping. I finally got a Kreation X from pugsly, low priced and nice. I just wait for one of the oldies from Fangoria magazine to pop up. Also, what you were talking about with the Chiodos- so true, and a guy posted a youtube video with Charlie Chiodo talking about his critter from Critters 2, which could move its eyes, mouth, snarl, brow, rods for arms, cable operated fingers and thumbs. A lot more high tech.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyf0cmROtlw |
