Hey guys,Here is my first tattoo story...So today, my girlfriend and I both went to get out first tattoos today. I have known for a little while now that I wanted to get some kind of tattoo, but I really could not think of anything besides the thorn symbol on my forearm. I knew that I did not want to get any kind of "phase" tattoo. For example, like a band name that I like right now because those sorts of things change. I needed to get something that has been with me throughout a majority of my life. Anyways, it took me a while to think of something, but I finally figured out what I should do.As most of you know, my favorite film of all time is <i>Aliens</i>. I have been watching that film since I was about 4 and I have loved it ever since. I collect all sort of memorabilia from it and do what I can to show my love for it. So what better way to do that than with a tattoo? And at first glance, you may not recognize what the picture is from but those of you that have watched the film as much as I have should get it. The tattoo is of the skull decal that is located on Pvt. Hudson's (Bill Paxton) armor. Hudson is my favorite character from that film and always has been. I have never seen anyone get this done before, so it has a certain uniqueness to it that I love. Also, that only die-hard <i>Aliens</i> fans will recognize it right away. As for the tattoo itself, I am very pleased with how it turned out. I really like the design of it and am happy that the artist drew it himself using reference pictures that I had taken. Believe it or not, there are actually 3 different designs that I found of that skull (2 used for filming and 1 for a detailed toy) and I told him to combine the looks of them. And he did it just right. I also told him to add some shading to it so it didn't look so flat. The shading looks very nice as well. I'm very happy with it!
