OK, I need some help. I got a website I'm done for a buddy, he has a .com name at GoDaddy already. My question is how do I upload a pre-existing site? I have his site built on Freewebs already but I want it so when you type in his .com name it goes to the freewebs site, if that makes sense. If anyone could help I'd appreciate it.

You have to have the domain name (the .com) forwarded to the Freewebs site. That is an additional service (I believe) that you purchase from GoDaddy. Just go to youyr account, add web forwarding, and put in the address of the Freewebs site. Then anytime you type in the .com name, it will direct it towards the Freewebs site. Hope that helps!

Yep, that's all it takes...I had a site set up on the free space that my ISP (Cox) provides, so I got domain name through GoDaddy and forwarded the .com name to my ISP's web space. I just checked GoDaddy and domain forwarding and masking is included with every domain name purchase. What that means is, say for example, you go to www.Martoch.com. (the name I purchase through GoDaddy)...your address bar will show <a href=\"http://www.Martoch.com\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.Martoch.com</a>, but the actual site would be loaded from <a href=\"http://members.cox.net/Martoch/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">http://members.cox.net/Martoch/index.html</a> (the free web space I get through my ISP). Same thing with e-mail...I would have a link set up to send an e-mail me at info@Martoch.com, while it is really sent to Martoch@cox.net. That's what the "masking" is all about.
