My guess is she slumped down in her seat and her feet got sucked under her and into where the seat connects. The one in St. Louis always freaked me out cause I'm tall and I could reach the base with my feet.

Woah, that's tragic. Supposedly the ride malfunctioned and a cable broke lose taking off her feet at high speeds. Huge lawsuit coming - millions I bet.I wonder if Six Flags will foot the bill....

yeah it's the six flags here in louisville and i'd say the park is about 20 mintues from me . basiclly all i know so far is when the ride went to the top and started to go back down , the cable broke and that's how she lost her feet because the cable cut them off . and for some reason there wasn't any blood someone said and she was calm and wasn't crying so she was in shock when it happened . the girl was also 13 and they haven't released a name yet but she was in surgery lastnight for awhile . that was my girlfriends fav. ride there and she was just on it 3 days ago . the ride used to be called the Hellevator and got renamed to Supermanmike,
