State Your Horror Film Embarassment - stainboy - 07-06-2007 In one of my grad classes, my professor told us that he and some other profs were sitting around at a luncheon talking one day. Then, by choice of topic, each prof went around the room volunteering which major NOVEL or major literary work they are embarassed to admit they have never read. Then each professor, at the end, would vote on which person has the most embarrassing answer. The winner? Well, my prof said one guy was embarrassed to admit he had never read HAMLET.I thought the story was funny. So I figured, why not extend this to the horror film realm?<span style=\'font-size:14pt;line-height:100%\'><!--coloro:orange<!--/coloroWhich major horror flick have you STILL not seen and are generally embarrassed to admit? <!--colorc<!--/colorc (Hint: your choice should be at least a 5-year old horror film. If you're embarrased because you haven't seen the latest Texas Chainsaw Massacre Prequel then just leave this thread alone. I want real admissions of embarrassment here. I know someone here still hasn't seen The Exorcist and I want to know who it is!)I'll go first:The major horror flick I have still yet to see is: PHANTASM.There, I said it. I've never had major interest in seeing the Phantasm films either, but considering the original is held up by horror fans as a trademark horror film of the 70's....I guess I just feel weird not having seen it.Just admit whatever one film which has always evaded you. It could even be a film you have never even been able to find in a video store...(Hell, I wasn't able to rent Evil Dead until 1994.....it was always stolen off video store shelves back then....those of you old enough remember this time before mass-released horror films for sale on DVD!) State Your Horror Film Embarassment - Last_of_the_Brunnen-G - 07-06-2007 Interesting topic. I'm not really embarassed to have not seen any particular horror movie. In most cases, I've had no access to some of them here in the boonies, or I just haven't had the time. Something I haven't seen... I can't think of any at the moment, but I'll post as soon as I remember.
