As a diehard TCM fan I'm ashamed to admit I don't know the brand/make of the original saw from the 74 classic....anyone know?.......I've heard it was a Poulan 306 or something similar...........................Larry

Close, Poulan 245, but the poulan 306a has identical parts, but some parts are different.Whoever the hell says its a mccullough should really do some research!

That poulan is really hard to find.I looked on the bay a few time's and found nothing.

Unfortunetly, I found that out right after I bought my 306a. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dry.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"dry.gif\" /> I don't know how to explain the parts, I don't know anything about the chainsaw. The part that you pour the gas in is taller on the 245a, the handel bar thing is more square, as well as the rubber.I'm pretty sure this is a 245a, or atleast he replaced the 306a parts that were wrong. The guy that made this sells them, motman24 or something on The HMA.This one is a 306a that has parts replaced to be accurate. This guy did an amazing job. This picture shows what he replaced.
