What is meant by powdering a mask? Brushing baby/talcom powder in the inside of it?Just curious, I've heard a lot of people mention this for taking care of a mask.Thanks

I suppose you shouldn't do this with wearable masks, because it's dangerous to breathe in those substances.

Make sure to use cornstarch if you plan on wearing the mask, as talcum powder acts as a nasal irritant.

just pour a light amount into the mask and then spread it around with your handits also good to do when you are taking pulls out of a mold

Unscented baby powder is the best stuff to use, general rule of thum, if you can put it on a baby\'s ass, it\'s safe for pretty much everything
No problem for skin contact or breathing, and keeps the moisture out. I dump in a few shakes, then smear it around with my hand, then turn the mask over the tub and shake it to get even better distribution. Then as a final step, swirl the stuffing bags around inside too. Every time after wearing one I do this, right after I wipe it out with paper towels.

People like myself who are very sensitive to talc can’t stand the stuff. Talc can cause some amazing irritation to the eyes face and nasal passages. I had a few mass produced masks, I never really ware latex because I’m sensitive to the stuff, but I wore one of my masks one Halloween and once I started to sweat under the mask, the combo of sweat and talc felt like I was maced, I never wore a mask again after that, very unpleasant.Jeff-
