Wells, I traded in my Honda for this:<img src=\"http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j290/modernhippichick/Picture1023.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />'04 Chrysler Crossfire. The dealer told me that the tires were fine, even though they were bulging around the wheels... I bought it, because... well... I'm an impulse buyer. And have been told by the car repair shop that the tires are on the verge of blowing and I need to replace them... now... they're a little more expensive than I'm used to, haha. The Chrysler dealership wanted $500 a pop. So I'm probably not going to go that route.I've been calling around to get quotes to replace the tires, and there are a hell of a lot of different brands... Michilans would cost me around $1500 for all 4 tires, but I am wanting to keep it under $1,000 or less. My question is this: What is a long-lasting, high performance, affordable brand of tire...Thanks,-Eva-

what size are the tires ?

Non-horror Question - antisocial1 - 08-01-2007

front tires: 225/40-18 rear tires: 255/35-19I'm not very car savvy at all, so I have no idea what all these different brands are that I keep getting quoted on... like Toyo & Continental, etc I just want to be sure I'm buying a good brand that won't wear down quickly.

id would recommand this.... the treadwear is 400A thats means the tires will last a good while... the traction and temp ratings are both A and Yokohama is a excellent brand of tire. and the price should keep you under or close to $1000.<a href=\"http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findTireDetailStaggered.do?rcz=91710&rc=LAIINT&yr=2005&cf=false&cs=255&mps=-50&pc=43149-43280&vid=008505&rd=19&ar=35&ct=tireSearchForm\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/findTireD...=tireSearchForm</a>

When it comes to tires it pays to shop around. You can also try this website out if you want to. Tirerack.comI went to STS to get tires for my car and they wanted I think around $1,200 or more for a set of Pirelli tires. I went to tire rack and they cost me about half the price and they were shipped to my house in 2 days. The shipping wasn't as bad as I thought. All you have to do is take them someplace to balance and mount them on your wheel. You can also read really good reviews of the tires on their site before you buy.

Thanks, Dr. Killjoy. I guess I'll just shop around now that I know what brand to look for. <img src=\"http://forums.NIGHTOWLpro.com/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"Smile\" border=\"0\" alt=\"smile.gif\" />
