Well, I am 16 years old right now. But anyway, when I watched tales from the crypt when I was about 4, I got hooked. I then heard about freddy and watched him. Freddy and Michael were the first big horror icons I got into, and then on, I became a true horror freak.

Oh yeah, I forgot one more thing. It wouldn\'t happen if it were for my uncle\'s friend, Dave Sabota.

for me it was when i first saw A Nightmare on elm st prt 1, in 1986.
i was 6 years old, and i cant really explain what it was that made me love that movie soo F\'n much but i got addicted to it and to freddy lol.
after that i saw Nightmare 2 and waited for more and more nightmare movies to come out, and there is not one of them that i dont like.
then when i was 8 i got my first freddy figure "screaming model"..and well, since then i have been a fan and i always will Big Grin

Freddy was my gateway drug back when I was in first grade. I remember trying to make my first glove out of little tree twigs that I whittled down. That was back around 1985 / 86 or so.

hmm I think the Howling did it for me. I saw that when I was about 3 or 4. Also Ghostbusters helped!

I was a Star Wars kid growing up (I\'m 31 now) so I had the sci-fi upbringing. But my mom was a big Stephen King fan and liked scary movies. She introduced me to my first horror flick! I had pretty cool parents in the respect that I got to watch stuff like that as long as it was with them \'til I was older. I remember we rented Friday The 13th PT3 when we got our first VCR in the mid-80\'s when I was just an elementary school brat, and after seeing it I was hooked. I got one of those crappy, flat hockey masks at the store and tried to paint it up to look like Jason\'s.
