So Death Proof and Planet Terror are coming to DVD next month, separately. Any one else pissed that the theatrical cut of Grindhouse is not being offered? Grindhouse was an experience, the fake trailers, the broken film. It was a ride, but the greedy producers are only going offer the movies on separate DVD’s. The bright side is that the films will be complete, but I don’t know, I think it takes away from the whole grindhouse experience and the 1970’s vibe the film had. They'll release these to see is people are stupid enough to buy them seperate. In a few months they'll come out with a two disc set, unrated and all that jazz.

I have had the Death Proof DVD for over two weeks now and can tell you that Death Proof is worse with the added footage. I thought I'd be the last to admit that but it is. The Grindhouse version as edited as it was is by far the superior version. That's just it...they want people to buy them separate for the extra footage...then they will release a theatrical version later on. They're probably trying to make up sales on DVD since it did so poorly in thaters. I think I might wait to pick these up...as much as I want them on DVD, I know they have something else up their sleeve for this flick. Besides, eventually they will probably be relegated to the bargain bin where you can get them both for $10, lol. Either that or I'll wait for the quarterly 30% discount on DeepDiscount.com and buy them then.

they are trying everything and anything to recoop the money they lost with that film. It put the Weinstein brothers in the hole big time. I always thought it was funny about this movie, how they made a 100 million dollar movie(67 production 33 advertising) that was glorifying movies that were made for under 400-500 thousand...yeah it sucks how they are releasing it but they gotta try to break even...Matt

Relax it will be ok they will release them together eventualy they are just trying to make more money. Personaly I will wait till the box set comes out. Keep on the look out there will be more grindhouse movies comming as well.
