cut the general shape with a serated steak knife use rough grit sandpaper to fray and weather or a wire brush or dremel (aluminum oxide bit the pink stone ones)black acryllic paint thinned with water put it in a windex bottle and spray on in a stream not a mis let it sit a minutethe soak it spray some water on it with the hose, hang it on a closeline and spray itnot enough to remove the colour just so it runs and blendsafter mist some black spraypaint on it from forearms length awayspray acryllic on th outside corners and circumference of the apron repeat the water stagedo wahtever you feel necsessary to make it look the degree of weathering you wanti dont know what type of burlap you got get ones where the weave isnt too loose or it will fray until ther isnt anythin left- Aaronask me anything else im happy to help
