Care For My Masks... - Big Howlin - 10-17-2007 Hey, just wondering how to care for my masks. Ive had some for a while and Im wondering, do they harden? Crack? Crumble over time?If so how do you prevent all that? Thanks for the help! Care For My Masks... - Earl - 10-17-2007 You just keep them out of direct sunlight, powder the inside and keep them dusted. They should last forever. Then I dry it out completely and powder the inside lightly with corn starch. If you plan on wearing your masks a lot, I wouldnt use anything with talc. Talc particles are bad to breath in. I have actually heard you can get lung cancer, if you are exposed to it too much, and I read that corn starch is more absorbent than talcum powder anyway. Latex will last a lifetime if you care for it Care For My Masks... - Big Howlin - 10-22-2007 Care For My Masks... - paris72 - 10-22-2007 Care For My Masks... - SuperDanDrista - 10-22-2007 A lifetime is not forever. Latex will eventually turn to dust like anything but you can take care of them past their usual 15-20 years if you use proper care...though most won't even own a mask that long. So far no deterioration whatsoever. Although these days I store my masks a lot better. Will have to get a pic up of it. |
