Question To All Of You Non-smoker Collectors - stainboy - 12-06-2007

Hey guys...I have a question to you guys who collect Sideshow Figs.I bought a Frankenstein's Monster off of eBay this week and he's in great shape...but there's one problem. I was unaware that he came from a smoker's home. (And to those of you who call yourself collectors and have the indeceny to smoke inside the same home your house your collectibles - I abhor you. Shame on you for exposing your collection to secondhand smoke. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"wink.gif\" /> )Bottomline: His clothes stink like smoke beyond belief. My question to you: is there anyway to get the smell of smoke out of action figure clothes without actually washing them in a washing machine? The thing is...I don't want to take the clothes off the figure - it's difficult and you run the risk of destroying the clothes - so washing them is out.Does anyone have any suggestion? Would Febreze work? Would spot washing work? Or is there anything else I'm missing?<!--coloro:#98FB98<!--/coloro<!--fonto:Impact<!--/fonto<!--sizeo:5<!--/sizeoFrank Stinks - What to do???<!--sizec<!--/sizec<!--fontc<!--/fontc<!--colorc<!--/colorc

Question To All Of You Non-smoker Collectors - SuperDanDrista - 12-06-2007

It'll go away now that it's out of a smoked environment..just leave it out for a week

Question To All Of You Non-smoker Collectors - D-bach - 12-06-2007

yeah should wear off in a week, maybe spray some febreze on it if it dont.

Question To All Of You Non-smoker Collectors - dougie - 12-07-2007

Yeah I hate it when that happens...With masks I get like that I just leave it displayed in my room and about a week later the smell is gone,

I've had luck with wrapping a scented dryer sheet around the figure..........................Larry

Go with the dryer sheet like Larry said. Anytime I'm around smokers, I wipe my jacket down with one and it does the job nicely.

Sorry about your smelly Sideshow Frank and everyone's suggestions sound about right... but I gotta say he looks pretty damn good. Congrats on the fig. That stink will be gone soon enough.

I agree with the dryer sheet or Febreze. Basically think of it like when you go to a bar. Your jacket might smell like smoke for a few days, but it eventually goes away even if you don't wash it.

Ahhhhhhhhh............ a dryer sheet. Now that sounds like it might do the trick. Thanks so much guys!!!!
