Got My Part 6 In - sirbrad - 12-14-2007
I am very impressed as I did not know plastic could look so good! Mask looks great, and I will post it on myself and my lifesized part 6 whenever I get it done. I prefer 2 adjustable straps, but luckily I have a big head so there is not too much slack at all in the top strap, and tightens up well. Great deal for what I won it for ($81.00) and with great leather straps. I chose snaps over rivets, as I want to be able to change them if needed. Here is a small sneak preview of the mask. Will have better pics later. DMC? Not sure. Got it from 1234 models on eBay. Love it, and a lot lighter than fiberglass! Looks a lot more detailed in person, and brownish white like the movie. Even got the scrapes pretty accurate in the red decal.

That's a good paint up on the mask, but you need accurate straps and snaps. I think after that you'd be all set with a killer part 6.-Joseph

I prefer comfortability and longevity over "accuracy." Brown leather is as accurate as I need, especially considering no one will see it at night, nor care. Only hardcore fans here will. However if a rivet pulls through, I cannot change it easily as I could a snap. Also the screen accurate strap was not adjustable because it was made to fit CJ. I do not have the luxury. So this will do. I do not have the desire to copy something exactly like something else, I am more creative and innovative than that, and prefer to make my own little variations. Not to mention make the mask last much longer...
