You can still get that version on ebay and most movie poster sites.. The withdrawn version was the blood splattered one featured in the Crystal Lake memories book.

New York Visitor Bureau got pissed because Paramount didn’t get permission to use the “I love NY,” which is a registered trademark. The more ‘Bloody’ one NEVER made it to theaters. The MPAA banned that because of the blood but not knowing about the "I Love NY" thing. Weird isn't it.
