Advice On Taking Creases Out Of A Latex Mask - Dreamdemon - 09-08-2004 Hey anyone know how to get creases and idents out of a latex mask? I got a Myers blank off of ebay and it was in a pretty thin box and the mask had really hard paper stuffed inside it. It caused creses in the neck and odd indents on the forhead area.I have tried a hair dryer and stuffing the mask tight as it can go with plastic bags and it has not helped at all. Aaron Advice On Taking Creases Out Of A Latex Mask - WilliamAbuJannah - 09-08-2004 damn man, that sucks. I have no idea, since you\'d be the one that I would ask, lol. Advice On Taking Creases Out Of A Latex Mask - EverythingJason - 09-08-2004 You might want to try (for the neck area) to use a warm clothesiron and cover the area to be straightened out with a towel or thick cloth and just iron away. This might do the trick a little as long as it is not too hot. Hope it works out for you. Advice On Taking Creases Out Of A Latex Mask - Tyson - 09-08-2004 I got a frankenstein mask in from spookyplanet.com and it came in a VERY thin box. (I was like WTF???). I took it home and opened the box and it looked like an accordion. There was no saving this mask......or so I thought. I took a tip I read on the internet last year in mind and I threw the mask in the dryer. A couple of minutes later, it was PERFECT! I now have it resting comfortably on my shelf, creaseless. Throw it in the dryer and it\'ll go back to its original form. It doesn\'t sound like something you\'d want to do, but trust me it works. Just don\'t leave it in for a long period of time or it WILL start melting. Just stand by the dryer and open the door every minute or so and check on its progress. Hope I helped. Otherwise I\'ll send you, \'the stretcher!!\' Mwu ha ha ha h*cough, cough* ha ha hah Advice On Taking Creases Out Of A Latex Mask - Tyson - 09-08-2004 Yeah last year somebody had a "Breathless" mask that arrived very warped, and someone told him to stick it in the dryer and he said it came out fine. It worked with mine as well, so chalk up 2 points for the dryer method! Let us know if you make it #3 Aaron. Advice On Taking Creases Out Of A Latex Mask - Wicked1 - 09-08-2004 Yeah, it does work! I used to run a haunted house and some "jenius" drove his truck over a box clearly labeled masks! I thought that they were ruined, until my friend had told me about the dryer trick that he had tried a year earlier when his masks had gotten soaked due to a leak in his storage room. All you have to do is just turn on the dryer, let it heat up and put the mask inside for about 1-3 min(depending on your dryer) or until it gets warm and a little soft, then take out the mask and make sure that it is formed and stuffed correctly. Good luck! Advice On Taking Creases Out Of A Latex Mask - Dreamdemon - 09-08-2004 will do ...will try it tonight! Aaron Advice On Taking Creases Out Of A Latex Mask - Hauntmaster9 - 09-08-2004 The dryer trick never fails. |
