Death Metal Fans Take Notice! - LustigManiac - 06-03-2008 I have been playing in and out of Death metal bands for longer than i can remember but over the past 5 years death metal has hit a dry spell. Everyone sounds the same and are pretty unoriginal. Well that dryspell is over. A band out of CA called Braindrill has moved the bat up a few notches. This album has some of the fastest drum work and sickest riffs that have been written. Fans of Necrophagist and Crpytopsy take notcie. the albumBraindrill- Apocalyptic Feastinghands down the best Death Metal album of 2008 check it out!!!!!Matt Death Metal Fans Take Notice! - DiedLaughing - 06-04-2008 Amazing CD.Too bad they are basically already broken up. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"unsure.gif\" /> If you want some amazing horror inspired death metal check out Razorbackrecords.com! Frightmare, Fondle Corpse, Blood Freak are doing amazing things as well. Death Metal Fans Take Notice! - LustigManiac - 06-04-2008 Yeah i have alot of the release by the bands you mentioned. It is sad that they are pretty much done but hell i have seen thousands of bands get to that point and then get revived by one small thing. Aborted used to be in the same vein as Brain Drill but their speed and overall song structure is going down hill in a hurry. More people need to change it up more in death metal, unlike Deicide and Marduk and a few others where you put one album on and it sounds like the past 7 or it sounds like one long song.Matt Death Metal Fans Take Notice! - krazedkilla - 06-04-2008 This band is pretty cool, but I wasn't impressed. If you like death metal look into some Nile, Behemoth, and Hate Eternal if you haven't already. Hate Eternal is so dry. if you put an album on you cannot tell when the songs end and when they start. Live its worse. Nile is ok... i have never been a big fan of them. I am a huge black metal era Behemoth fan..From the pagan Vastlands is a great release. But once they changed styles and went to the extreme fast paced death metal i never latched onto them. They sound almost identicle to Vital Remains and a few other bands lesser known. |
