Remake Patterns - Last Man Standing - 08-02-2008 Did any one else notice a remake pattern of slasher filmsThe first slasher film, correct me if I'm wrong, was Psycho. That became one of the first remakesTCM came after psycho, then that was remadeThen halloween, Now Friday the 13th, Soon to come NOES. In perfect order. Then you think its done but then you know it Child's play will be remade. coincidense weird huh <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"mellow.gif\" /> Remake Patterns - Slasher Asher - 08-02-2008 I always thought of Blood Feast or Twitch of the death nerve to be the first slasher film. Psycho maybe inspired slashers, but I don't consider it to be one.Anyway, this remake shit is really starting to bug me. I guess next we'll have a freakin' Scream remake. Remake Patterns - JigSaw - 08-02-2008 Never thought of that, but have you thought of this?<b>The three main slasher remakes have come out 29 years after the original?</b>Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2003Halloween 1978, Halloween 2007Friday the 13th 1980, Friday the 13th 2009Seems the Nightmare on Elm Street is next! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Remake Patterns - Slasher Asher - 08-03-2008 Another interesting thing is that the TCM remake was originally planned to be another sequel in the existing series, and the Halloween remake was meant to be a reimagination or something, then became a remake. And finally Freddy and Jason's next films were intended to be prequels but now also seem to be remakes. |
