... and the results weren't horrible...I plan on buying a knifegloves glove some time soon, I love the look of his gloves. But in the interim I wanted a glove with plastic blades that I can take outside and such (not totally thrilled with the Rubies version), so I decided to make my own with some temps that I found on the web. I had originally wanted to make it completely out of plastic, but that was a huge failure. I ended up turning my plastic sheets into soup under the heat gun.Then my cousin suggested that we just hammer one out from a piece of sheet metal that he had laying around in his garage... So we did... Just as a 'lets see if we can do it' type deal. It came out pretty well, but was not even close to the right color, so it had to be painted. Some of the fingers are a tight fit, and have a tiny bit of stick when shuffling them around. The blades are plastic and the 'solder' is hot glue that was painted to silver. I need to get a new glove for it, but here it is for now, without the hand plate rivets. Good work! That's not bad at all... especially for a first attempt. I'd be proud of it... the coloring of the glove is hard to figure out and it also takes practice to get the fitting and mobility right. But after a few tries, you can usually get the hang of it. Good work, again!

I like it. Kinda reminds me of some of the back up stunt gloves <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":thumbsup:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Knifegloves is right. It will take trial and error to get it just right. But your right there. Great work man.

Poorly cut pieces may not fit together very well but it looks like you did a pretty good job. I just counted the number of gloves I've sold though my website and I've built and sold 82 gloves (not counting the ones I sold on eBay before I got my own website) but don't worry... you'll have the movement and fitting figured out WAY before you get to that number. But I'm still fighting with aging techniques to get the right color of my metals. I'm not 100% satisfied with my results just yet so expect that process to take longer than just a couple of tries.

I think you have done a nice job there buddy. I too own the plastic rubies glove and its pretty awful, you cant get much movement out of it. So it seems like a good idea to attempt to make a metal/copper glove with plastic blades to go out with to a fancy dress party or something. Hopefully this way you should get the right sounds from moving the glove but with the added safety aspect of plastic blades. Not bad. I like the Rubies glove because I connected to my own real, weathered glove. Although it can break easily. I wish it was connected solidly with real rivets to my glove. Also the fingers are not that flexible and stay spread which kinda sucks.
