Should I Do This? - mpetrie - 11-18-2008 Hey everyone... I'm really torn right now. I am a huge Heath Ledger Joker fan and am wanting to get one of Bob Causey's Joker Busts. In order to get one, I would have to raise money by selling my entire collection of Freddy stuff... which includes:A custom-painted full-sized Butterfingers Freddy Mask, a Numero Uno from Topshelf, a Part 4 from Ken Hastings, a DMC Part 1 sweater, etc.I know I wouldn't raise enough money for the entire price with my items but what are your thoughts? Should I do this? For those of you who haven't seen the bust, here it is:<img src=\"http://www.dullam-causey.com/gallery/streamimage.php?path=L0JvYiBDLidzIEhlYXRoIExlZGdlciB0cmlidXRlL0JvYiBjIGpva2VyMi5qcGc=\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /> Should I Do This? - ReellyScary - 11-18-2008 I couldn't think of one thing that would make me part with my Freddy stuff....but, that is a great Joker. I'd hang on to the Numero Uno and Butterfingers but, thats just me....those seem like the hardest items to come by. It's all in how much you want it I guess. I'm torn because I'm a Freddy fan as well but Bob won't be making these Joker busts forever and I doubt he'll make a ton of them to be able to buy second-hand. Plus, I'll bet the price on this thing goes way up when they aren't made anymore. I just dread thinking about how much money I'm coughing up when I could easily put that money to something else. But boy would it be an eye-catcher in my Living Room. I just looks SO real. I've showed that photos to a few people that I work with and they thought it was a real person. Some didn't believe me that it was a sculpture. Should I Do This? - FreddysNightmare - 11-19-2008 Hey Mark, hows it going? I reckon to hell with it, if you're really into this piece then go for it dude. That Joker bust does look sick. You are a long term, regular, respected NIGHTOWL forum member, so if in the future you decide you want another numero uno or another butterfingers I'm sure one will come up if you keep looking and asking. Who knows.... by that time if you want to redo your Freddy look, you might perhaps be more interested in a silicone Freddy mask to actually move with your face. As for the numero uno, both yourself and Ken Hastings make decent looking part 1 gloves so no big loss you see. I say, **** it, you only live once and if this piece is gonna make you ultra happy then go for it! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Should I Do This? - JigSaw - 11-19-2008 I honestly say go for the Joker, it's much more of a collectors piece and it's beautiful. It's really based on what you want the most... a collectors silicone ultra realist Joker, OR (more than just one piece) great quality latex mask, glove and sweater? I will admit, the stuff you are trying to get rid of for this piece are fine pieces indeed.I say...Freddy Gloves:Use the ones you own as reference for your own, and sell it. You can only get better! <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Butterfingerso you really think Mark's Butterfingers is going to be "the last Freddy"? There will be more accurate ones sooner or later, I'm sure you'll be happy with that.SweaterMC hasn't stopped selling them yet, I'm sure you'll have your chance in the future.Good luck bro, these are some great pieces you have, and possibly stunning piece you can have. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Should I Do This? - Earl - 11-19-2008 Who is making the joker and what are they going for? I seriously have no need for the Numero Uno except I really only bought it to try to figure out how in the hades he got his brown coloring on his copper. I'm desperately trying to figure out what in the world he used/did to get his copper that color so I could implement it on my new, soon to come "Hero Glove" that's replacing the First Nightmare on my site. But I'm totally clueless... He makes busts with clothes as well and those go for $5,000. Should I Do This? - Mutilated - 11-19-2008 Do it or you'll kick yourself in the ass forever. All that Freddy stuff isn't so rare you wont be able to get any of it again, this one though once he stops making it, that's it and if you want one it's gonna cost a lot more. Should I Do This? - IbDaToNeGuY - 11-19-2008 i'd be all over that Joker if i had any bit of a chance for one . hell i couldn't even sell my car and get enough for it lol . but i hope you deside on whatever makes you the most happy in the end mike, |
