Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - puckface - 11-30-2008 Played for a while yesterday and gotta say, its pretty freakin cool. Although the lack of the strong blood and gore that most MK games have is gone, for the most part its a fun game with some cool features. Some finishing moves are the same as previous MK games, but the DC character's "heroic brutallities" are pretty awesome as well. Not to mention the graphics on this game are NUTS. The costumes have even gotten more realistic. If you play, who'd be your favorite character? I'd say as much as I love Batman, I'm best with The Green Lantern. His combo of special moves are nearly unbeatable if timed right. Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - Silent Rage - 11-30-2008 Wonder Woman Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - Mutilated - 11-30-2008 So they brought back Combo's finally unlike Armageddon with the watered down fighting system? Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - liquidaluminum - 11-30-2008 I have the game and I love it. My favorite by far is Batman. Like with Green Lantern, if timed right, Batman has some moves that are unstopable. Just for the sake of giggles I like the flash and Deathstroke is amazing to play with. I think my 2 favorites though are without a doubt, Batman and Subzero.-Joseph Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - puckface - 11-30-2008 Yea, Batman is easilly my second favorite. His batarangs are great because if the opposing player is planning a move AFTER you throw the batarang, sure enough it comes right back and knocks them out of preparation for the move. Joker's moves are also great if done right. He is just a bit slow, movement wise. Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - gummi - 12-01-2008 I bought the game recently, and while it is fun to play, the fatalities are very disappointing. They toned them down even more from the early videos they had shown. The most disappointing was The Joker's fatality. In the early videos, the head shot was done in view, but now the opponent is off screen when he shoots. Mortal Kombat is all about the blood and guts for me, so this one falls way short, like I suspected it would to get the teen rating. I've read that the next one is going to be more "serious", so I'll be crossing my fingers. Hopefully serious means bloody as hell. Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - imperialhockmaster - 12-01-2008 Havent gotten a chance to play this one yet, you guys have sparked my interest and im adding it to my X-mas wish list, im a huge batman fan along with most of the dc heros, so it will be a specail treat, imalso hoping to get endwar, cant wait to spend endless hours and loose much needed sleep playing these, lol!!!!! Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - mpetrie - 12-01-2008 The only reason I ever played Mortal Kombat was for the fatalities... complete disappointment in this one. But we all differ... Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - FreddysNightmare - 12-01-2008 Its a great idea this game, but I will wait for it to be cheaper and then pick it up as I go by review scores and gamespot gave it a 7.5/10 not too bad a score but like others have said the lack of blood and brutal fatalities will be a shame. I mean come on, who doesn't want to rip out Supermans spine in a videogame? lol. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> Mortal Kombat Vs Dc Universe - Mutilated - 12-01-2008 Gotta keep in mind though, they had to collaborate with DC and being comic books and comic book movies are mostly marketed towards kids they probably had no choice but to tone down the use of gore and all of that to increase sales and be able to market to younger kids. |
