Paypal Help - puckface - 12-03-2008 Ive usually been hesitant about transfering money online, but now Im getting to the point to where it gets harder and harder to find things I need where the seller/company will accept money order as payments. Can someone help me get started? Im just looking to use money straight from my bank account when purchasing things online. I realize you can sometimes use a credit card, but sometimes that doesnt always work.Is it possible that when I sell something, people could send money to my bank account through paypal, or if I were to buy something, it could just withdraw money from my bank account?thanks in advance Paypal Help - caidenzakk - 12-03-2008 It is possible to pay for something through paypal and have it taken directly from your bank account, but when you want money to get put into your bank account from paypal, you need to withdraw money to your bank account which takes anywhere from 4-7 days each time. Paypal Help - puckface - 12-03-2008 thanks budso how would I go about getting started with paypal? are there different types as to how you want to manage your money, or is it an overall account setting that you can make? Paypal Help - Snoballz - 12-03-2008 Just sign up for the basic account. But beware, the first time you accept a credit card payment, you're considered a business and they get 3% of all payments after that. Paypal Help - krazedkilla - 12-04-2008 Sign up for the paypal account. Add a bank account to it; preferably checking. It will ask for the account number and the routing number for your account and bank. You add that and you need to confirm it. In order to do that paypal makes two small deposits to your account. Once it shows up two-four business days later, you have to type in on pay pal the amounts they deposited. This enables them to know that this is your account and once you type in the amounts, your confirmed. Now your checking account is hooked up to pay pal. You can take payments from people through paypal and directly deposit it into your account which takes acouple days before it shows up. You could also pay people through pay pal with your bank account. No need to withdraw money from your bank to paypal to pay for something. There is an option when you pay, it automatically takes it from your account to begin with. Paypal Help - puckface - 12-21-2008 hey guys, sorry to dig up an old topic, but I just got paypal so thats a load off my mind.....but I made my account under "personal" so that I can simply purchase things offline....if I upgrade to the "premiere" account, will it charge me anything just for upgrading? Paypal Help - puckface - 12-22-2008 thanks for you help guys, I upgraded so now I can buy and sell through paypal....the last question I have is this:if I want to recieve payment and have it go through my bank account, do I have to add my bank to my account? is there a special setting I have to use to ensure that the payment goes to my bank account and NOT an online account?thanks so much for everyones help, I hope its not getting annoying Paypal Help - Homicidal#9 - 12-22-2008 i know that i have a premium account and have bought and sold through it. You will have to have your bank account on PP though. And It will take about 3-4 days for it to show up in your Bank Account. |
