I'm incredibly happy that Mickey Rourke finally got a nomination, and I really hope he wins. I'm shocked and disappointed that Bruce Springsteen's song 'The Wrestler' wasn't nominated for Best Original Song (and why are there only three songs nominated this year??). I would've loved to see a few nominations for Clint Eastwood as well. I think it's really cool that Robert Downey Jr. was nominated, althought I'm not sure if he really deserved it. Oh well, Heath Ledger will win in that category anyway. Oh, and did Meryl Streep really need another Oscar nomination?? <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":tongue:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> What are your thoughts and predictions?

I'm honestly not surprised by any of the announcements. It's pretty much a done deal for Heath's Joker now that they nominated him.I was actually sad to only see three films get nominated for visual effects. I was hoping Cloverfield would get a nod. The special effects in that film were insane.

I think Aaron Eckhart should've gotten nominated. Ledger only had to play a bad guy, Eckhart had to play both a hero and villain which I think is a more demanding job acting-wise.

I was glad to see Ledger in there and Eastwood and Jolie for The Changeling. However, I am disappointed to see Benjamin Button with 13 nominations. I don't think that movie was quite deserving of that. It was so much like Forest Gump I couldn't focus on the movie at hand. If you've seen it, <a href=\"http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/1d76506803/the-curious-case-of-forrest-gump-from-fgump44\" target=\"_blank\">check this out</a>. Also disappointed, like the last guy, to see that Gran Torino was basically ignored.
