I'd call the postal service/office. Maybe they have it there.I don't know how it works in the U.S., but here in Norway, when they try to deliver a package and you're not at home, they just leave note in your mailbox telling you they tried to deliver a package and that you can pick it up at the local post office.

Usps Question - scabboy - 01-24-2009

Well, USPS should never leave boxes in areas where it can be stolen as far as I am concerned. I have found USPS boxes in my garage before, expecting a package... wait, waiting... not thinking about it, go in my garage and it's in there for lor knows how long.UPS is worse, they have given my neighbors my boxes before and told them to see that I get it. Such bullshit!

Usps Question - SauronTD - 01-24-2009

I had a package say delivered one time. I didnt recieve it so I went to the post office. What had happened was they scanned it wrong when it got the one of the sorting facilities. So instead of saying processed and left so and so facility, it said delivered.

Usps Question - Homicidal#9 - 01-24-2009

i may have you all beat. My Fed Ex driver has a really bad habit of just scanning my package as delivered instead of actually delivering it...and then actually delivering it butt early the next morning......makes no damned sense whatsoever.take care,Tommybut in respect to the USPS claim, you are just gonna need to call USPS and see what they say. If no insurance was paid for the package, then i wish you the best of luck in getting anything at all from them...

Usps Question - scabboy - 01-24-2009

USPS people are irresponsible. This is off-topic, but my house has a route scan bar for the USPS. When they deliver mail they are supposed to scan it so they can send the info back to USPS that they are on time and not wasting time. The USPS worker will sit in his truck for an hour reading the paper and then scan it, this is 3-4 hours after they delivered my mail.

Usps Question - Ruste Dowg - 01-24-2009

I had a box of blanks from ken go missing, ticket through the door from the driver said they were at my local depot, they weren't, i had to track the box back to London, they told me over the phone they had it and would post again but i turned up anyway to collect it and then they claimed they didn't have it!I pushed my way through to the loading area and refused to leave until they found it, in the end i found it being off loaded from a van that just returned from a round 10 miles from where i live!!Never got to the bottom of it but i have to say i have my delivery (different guy) drivers mobile number and he has mine, he calls me when there's no-one in and arranges a time to come back, top man, always stoned but reliable!

Usps Question - SideshowFreak - 01-24-2009

Well I'm in the U.S and my mail man always leaves my packages on the front porch. There has only been one instance i can think of where i got the slip they leave and had to go pick it up. <!--quoteo(post=294193:date=Jan 23 2009, 07:09 PM:name=scabboy)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE(scabboy @ Jan 23 2009, 07:09 PM) <a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=294193\"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecUPS is worse, they have given my neighbors my boxes before and told them to see that I get it. Such bullshit!<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndScabboy you should call your local UPS and complain. I'm a UPS driver and we are never supposed to do something like that! UPS driver have to knock or ring your door bell and call out UPS and leave the package in a secluded place if you don't come to the door. We cannot leave a package that requires a signature if you are not home. A driver is allowed to use his on discretion on leaving packages even if it does not require a signature, If i feel a package is vulnerable to get stolen i wont leave it, leave you a slip and come back tomorrow. Well good luck on getting you package man!
