Led Flat Screen Tvs - TheMagnificentVoid - 04-01-2009 Going to be in a position to buy a new TV here soon. Not interested in a Plasma just yet until the tech is a bit more grown up.So . . LED flat screens - looking to buy around the 52" size range but can't afford more than a couple grand. Can everyone here who owns one or is knowledgeable about the LED flat screens chime in with their 2ยข?I'd surrrrrrrrrre appreciate it. Led Flat Screen Tvs - Mutilated - 04-01-2009 I wouldn't go with a Plasma, ever. The plasma runs out after awhile and you have to get it redone and it costs about as much as the TV in the first place. If you're buying an HD and want true HD go with 1080p, settle for nothing less. Best Buy always has some good deals on HD TV's, I would go there, 52" shouldn't run you more than $2500, depending on brand. Led Flat Screen Tvs - Willowman - 04-01-2009 Recently bought my 52 inch LCD Samsung from Amazon.com for under $1800. Shipping was free and the guy that delivered it set it up and everything. The same exact model sells at Best Buy for $2400. Led Flat Screen Tvs - DARKDECEMBER - 04-01-2009 Honestley I think Plasma is the better looking of the two but I do own an LCD both 1080p.If your going for an LCD try for 120 refresh rate. Led Flat Screen Tvs - onefastbird95 - 04-01-2009 I will have to agree with buying it at amazon. Way cheaper than the competition, excellent customer service, and they will take the tv back if you are not happy with it. Find a model you like and keep checking back, because items go on sale for short periods of time every so often. I purchased my samsung led from amazon and love the tv. Led Flat Screen Tvs - ullilein - 04-01-2009 Id look into the Kuro it is the best HD tv available they for around 4500 but you can get the "class" version at best buy for around 2300. The class lacks a few of the more advanced features but the image quality is still THX certified. Once my house is finished being built this is the TV im getting. The whole Plasma vs LCD debate is honeslty a little old. They both have their pro's and con's but the gap between the two are getting smaller and smaller. The ghosting issues with LCD's are prety much gone and the lamp life/overheating issues for plasmas are gone. It boils down to this.. If you want a tv that does much better in a well lit room with lots of natrual sunlight go with the LCD. If your putting your TV in a darker more theaterish room def go with the Plasma as it will look much closer to what you see in theaters. Hope this helps. If you need any other info do not be afraid to PM me!Thanks,Bryan Led Flat Screen Tvs - FreddysNightmare - 04-01-2009 Seems like I might own the same TV set as Willowman. I bought the HD Ready LCD 52" Samsung and I love it! I'm very much into films and gaming and its perfect. I then went out and bought matching Samsung home cinema 5.1 surround sound and it makes the whole experience even better. The quality is amazing, the picture is fantastic and I recommend them very highly. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> <img src=\"http://i452.photobucket.com/albums/qq247/el_mariarchi_01/PICT0849.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /> Led Flat Screen Tvs - Thorn - 04-01-2009 If your trying to choose a name brand...IMO, I would go with samsung.
