Crystal Head Vodka - travsall - 05-12-2009 The last couple months I've been trying to track down a bottle of this stuff, it was first released around Christmas, and sold out VERY fast. Some stores are just starting to restock now, and it's already goin fast. I finally managed to get my hands on a bottle tonight, and (Dern, I done gone and growed another head) it was worth the wait and the hunt. The deal behind this, it's produced by Dan Aykroyd, who has his own vineyard as well as a distillery, the bottle is a custom made in Italy human skull, based on the fabled 13 crystal skulls, a real piece of art unto itself. If you have intrest in the legend behind the skulls, this is an amazing piece to have. Beside the amazing bottle, is an unbelievable vodka. I enjoy vodka, I like it ice cold and straight, or on the rocks with a lemon wedge, so I've tried quite a few different kinds, this stuff is unique. Usually with top shelf there is an absense of taste, the dryer the better, the sharper the better, this stuff is a little different. There's a definite hint to it, and it is really quite nice. It's a shame it's gonna be hard to find, or it'd be a regular drink for me! If anyone is big on vodka, or the crystal skulls, it's a must have! I tried to take a couple pics, not exactly easy LOL I'm gonna try again tomorrow, but for now, here's a few. Here's the Crystal head site if anyone is interested http://crystalheadvodka.com/ Crystal Head Vodka - onefastbird95 - 05-12-2009 looks pretty awesome... does just any liquor store have this or is it special order and what does a bottle run? Crystal Head Vodka - travsall - 05-12-2009 Depends where you are, I went to half a dozen different stores, most of em didn't know what I was talking about. I had a standing order at one of the stores that knew of it, and put it in about a month ago, best bet would be call around, and if you can, get them to hold a bottle. It runs around $50 Crystal Head Vodka - The Death Curse - 05-12-2009 Travis?I need one of those right now.I listened to the entire introduction by Akroyd as well as his companion from the distillery in Newfoundland.....All I have to say is <!--sizeo:7<!--/sizeoWOW!!!<!--sizec<!--/sizec The symbolism is stunning. I feel like I need to try it *just* for all the immense work and thought that went into each specific piece of the puzzle...Perhaps one day I'll be lucky enough to run across one of 'em. I wonder if it will be available in a wide enough range to reach my area of the USA!Thanks for the link and cheers,Ryan Crystal Head Vodka - terminallunch - 05-12-2009 I have one. There's a liquor store in Cherry Hill, NJ that carries it. You can't ship booze across state lines, so you need to find it in your state (or ask me where the store is at the next Monster Mania <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"tongue.gif\" /> ). Crystal Head Vodka - WarLocK - 05-12-2009 I can go here and add it to my cart and check out. Anyone else done this? It allowed my zip code here in Atlanta. I want to get one of these skulls! Too cool.http://www.labodegawine.com/r/products/cry...utm_medium=baseI'm a big fan of vodka.... it mixes well w/ everything and goes down easy for me. I especially love my dirty martinis. I used to spend $70 on Grey Goose and sometimes Belvedere before I discovered the best value/best taste on Polish Vodka. Smooth stuff... it's called Sobieski and runs $14.99 locally for a huge 1.75 L bottle in a nice case. Also it won in taste tests over Svedka and Stoli. Good stuff - this DOES NOT taste like Mr. Boston or anything cheap, although the price looks that way. I promise. They have virtually no marketing at all which allows them to sell at this low price.#1 Vodka in Poland and #7 selling Vodka in the world (can be hard to find though) Crystal Head Vodka - krazedkilla - 05-12-2009 I've had it and really didn't care for it all that much. I much rather have Chopin or Vodka 14. Crystal Head Vodka - monteburns - 05-12-2009 Dan Aykroyd was in my city signing these crystal skull vodka bottles and memorabilia a few months back.He is currently doing a wine tour across North America so it should not be too hard to track a bottle down. They are also on eBay and look great lit from behind with a led light. Crystal Head Vodka - goaliehack - 05-12-2009 This is the coolest thing to come from the creative mind of Dan Akroyd since Land Shark. <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> http://video.aol.com/video-detail/saturday...hark/1415496980 Crystal Head Vodka - mperaginejr - 05-12-2009 I love vodka, and skulls, lol, def need to find a bottle of this! |
