-off Topic- Graphics Card Confusion - VF 31 - 06-09-2009 so i just recently bought a new vid card for the comp, went from a geforce 6800 to a evga geforce 9400,first thing i notice is that everything is a little more blurry than i was used to, so i went to the color controls and saw the image sharpening slider was off and grayed out, does anyone with a newer card know why they disabled the image sharpening? i loved that feature and made my monitor look alot better than it actually is...so im sad its gone >< -off Topic- Graphics Card Confusion - Jluck - 06-09-2009 It's possible the"image sharpening" is just not supported by the new card, sometimes for whatever reasons they disable the feature, happened to me a couple times..Thats all i can figure. -off Topic- Graphics Card Confusion - WarLocK - 06-09-2009 Not trying to sound too simplistic here... but did you actually adjust the resolution after installing the card through Windows properties? -off Topic- Graphics Card Confusion - VF 31 - 06-09-2009 yea i installed the drivers it came with and everything and did the screen adjustments, trying to get things as sharp as possible,i just did a little research i guess since the 8 series the image sharpen option has been disabled, kinda blows. -off Topic- Graphics Card Confusion - LeatherfaceFan07 - 06-09-2009 Just my two cents...I'm told that if you don't have a power supply big enough to power it properly that blurriness can happen as well. Not sure if that helps but good luck! -off Topic- Graphics Card Confusion - VF 31 - 06-09-2009 welp, my power supply is 400 and the min req for this card is only 350, so i think im alright there, its not bad looking, and this card IS an upgrade from the old one, its just the tiny bit difference im not used to cuz i used to run with almost full sharpening.my eyes arent great so its something i just got very used to seeing.*shrugthanks for the input though guys, -off Topic- Graphics Card Confusion - ullilein - 06-09-2009 <!--quoteo(post=316645:date=Jun 8 2009, 11:33 PM:name=VF 31)<div class=\'quotetop\'>QUOTE (VF 31 @ Jun 8 2009, 11:33 PM) <a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=316645\"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class=\'quotemain\'><!--quotecwelp, my power supply is 400 and the min req for this card is only 350, so i think im alright there, its not bad looking, and this card IS an upgrade from the old one, its just the tiny bit difference im not used to cuz i used to run with almost full sharpening.my eyes arent great so its something i just got very used to seeing.*shrugthanks for the input though guys,<!--QuoteEnd</div><!--QuoteEEndAre you using an LCD screen? If so it has a fixed resolution, make sure that your desktop resolution is the same as your monitors fixed resolution...if ur current resolution is lower then the screens fixed everything will look blury/fuzy I'm almost %100 sure this is your issue. PM me if you need some more help! -off Topic- Graphics Card Confusion - WarLocK - 06-09-2009 If all else fails, sell the new card and put back in the old one. LOL... been there done that. Sometimes if it ain't broke don't fix it. |
