Mask Stands - richardmalone - 08-16-2009 I really like the clear plastic mask stands, BUT they are too expensive for me. SO I go to Wal-Mart and by a $5 paper towel holder. I take an old shirt and put inside the mask. So the top of the paper towel holder doesn't put too much pressure on the top of the mask. It's not the greatest but it gets the job done. <img src=\"http://i444.photobucket.com/albums/qq169/papisault/pt.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" />What do you guys use? Mask Stands - jvfan - 08-16-2009 i use the ones in my classified topic. check'em out. i've sold them to several people on here, and they all love'em <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> Mask Stands - evilsmellyclown - 08-16-2009 big glass pickle jars, not the ones for the grocery store, but the big bulk ones (i love pickles), or a roll of paper towel for the smaller masks. those work great because it is cheap and you can make it any size you want. mike <img src=\"http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h124/msharrow1414/IMG_1066.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /> Mask Stands - joey1975 - 08-16-2009 i actually make my own custom stands<img src=\"http://i537.photobucket.com/albums/ff333/indigochild75/DSCF0877.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /> Mask Stands - scabboy - 08-16-2009 A 6x6 piece of wood and a 1/2" dowel. You can go to a craft store and get like 5" foam balls and drill a hole half way and then glue it on the top for a good support for the top of the mask.I also used at one time rolls of paper towels, but that is not green. Mask Stands - souleater666 - 08-16-2009 i mae my own custom stands also Mask Stands - jasonfan2009 - 08-16-2009 i have 2 (paper towel holders black and the other silver) that me and my girl got from our local dollar store lol but i make them now and all i use is i think 1x4's and 3 1/4's a table saw and a manual cutting saw and im satisfied with that lol i'll show pics later if you like Mask Stands - b47 - 08-16-2009 Paper towel holder for the win <img src=\"style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/thumbsup.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"thumbsup.gif\" /> I used the wooden ones as they are more "good looking" in my opinion. Mask Stands - gummi - 08-16-2009 I've been using these paper towel holders from Wal-Mart lately. They are solid metal and have a very clean look. These actually look like mask stands I've seen for sale. I usually unscrew the top ball and replace it with a big styrofoam ball wrapped in plastic.<img src=\"http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a71/gummi05/Stand003.jpg\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /> Mask Stands - vezolution - 08-16-2009 Wine bottles are a good temporary fix for me. I usually use a paper towel holder and a plunger (both from the dollar store). I unscrew the rubber plunger part, invert it and stick it onto the paper towel holder. I didn't create this method though, I saw it done here or on another forum years back. The shape of the inverted plunger is great support for the mask IMO! |
