Well.. No franchise, and it's been awhile.. I'd love to have an updated look at that kind of event.. I just hope they aren't shooting for a carbon copy that's only slightly different from the original.When I hear 'em yell "Wolverines" I want it feel it though.. like in the original, or they'll have wasted my time.

The original was a classic example of Cold War propaganda. There is no such thing anymore. Therefore, there is no way it will have even close to the same amount of impact it originally had. I know most younger people look at Red Dawn as just a cheesy good 80s film, but it was actually a whole lot more than that. When this film was made, what actually happened was a real possibility and a real possible threat. We were raised to believe that the Communist threat was always there, always pervasive. It is just not the same type of environment or climate now.Also, there is no way to compare a TV show with a film like Red Dawn. That is like comparing Apples and chitlins...take care,Tommy
