Mezco 3.75 Inch Jason Repaint - Darth Veach - 11-11-2009
I like collecting figures, but it always bums me out when toy companies don't bother to take the time to get something right on a figure when they release it. Most of my stuff I display open, so I enjoy customizing and touching up figures. Just wanted to show this one off. Mezco 3.75 inch Jason figure. For anyone who has seen it, it looks almost all one color with the shirt and pants a very dark and muted blue-ish black color. I repainted to what the screen caps from 4 look like and dirtied the hockey mask a little more. Thanks for the compliments guys! I had someone ask me, so for anyone who isn't familiar with it, about 90% of this look was accomplished by a technique called dry brushing. Using the dark color of the original as a base, I built up the high ridges with the correct color with multiple passes. IF you are unfamiliar with this technique I recommend Youtube or Google for explanations and demos. Very easy to do!
