Original "unused" Predator Helmet - darko@totalgeek - 11-16-2009
Came across this picture today, I've never seen it before."This was the original Predator helmet that I (steve wang) designed and Matt Rose sculpted. Producer Joel Silver liked it but wanted a simpler face that the audience would know without a doubt is a mask. So Stan designed the "smooth face" and Matt sculpted that as well."

Very cool pics. I've seen the pic on the left in the Stan Winston book. At least they used it as the "gort" predator in Predator 2 (very similar anyway).Awesome bio mask. They state in the book they went with the smooth mask because the original gave way too much away in how the predator's face actually looked.take care,Tommy
