Ft13th Part 3 Deluxe 3d Version? - sidewinder420 - 12-03-2009

Just wondering if anyone has had the chance to watch the 3D versin of the film yet and how it was? Walmart is selling all the deluxe versions of the film for $9.00 each -up to part 8- so I figured I'd snag them up today. Any insight on the Part 3, 3D version? Thanks all!

It's fun to watch once or twice, but it doesn't come close in capturing the feel and look of the original polarized 3-D version shown in theaters. The 3-D effects worked much better on the original. Personally this analgyph DVD version gives me a headache though.

I saw Part 3 in 3D for the first time when I bought the disc. I find it much more enjoyable to watch the movie without the 3D effect because it puts a bit of strain on the viewing experience, but I think any Friday fan should at least see it in 3D at least once. For $9, I'd say check it out if you haven't seen it in 3D before. I also think the remaster of the picture quality looks much better than the older release.

Yea, for the 9 bucks they are offering the collection, it's a definite pic up for me. Never got to see the 3D version of the film in theaters, so pretty excited with checking it out, even if it causes my eyes to bleed while doing so. lolThanks all!!

Yeah it's definitely a must see at least once, even if your eyes bleed and your head aches, and for $9 it's worth it. But if you ever get a chance to catch an original 3D print of the movie in the theater, then don't hesitate to do so. Even if you have to drive a couple of hours and especially if you are a fan of part 3. It's hard to explain, but seeing it the way it was meant to be seen gives the movie much more depth, LOL pun intended. It's not just the obvious gags that catch your attention either. The whole film has a very cool layered look. Kinda gives a different feel to the movie.
