Do you guys think he has to hang up the fedora forever? Will we ever see Robert Englund portray Freddy on the big screen again? I don't know why but this thought just hit me as I was searching for Freddy Makeup pics and its kinda sad. Does anyone know Roberts feelings on the matter?

I don't think Robert is too old for the part, in fact he is more the age now that Wes originally wanted for part 1. Make-up makes age irrelevant. Unless he can't handle all the hours. But he can still have stunt doubles and just do his thing in the make-up. At the very least I would like to see a FVJ sequel VS Kane Hodder's part 7 Jason. Then they both can call it a career lol.

Yeah, no more Englund.I'm sure he doesn't care too much at this point anyways.As for age, his age is very relevant. Especially in the remake where Freddy will be shown younger (i.e. how he died). If Englund was playing Freddy they'd almost have to get a younger actor for those flashbacks. In movies you can not jsut throw a wig on an old actor to play a younger them like they do in sitcoms.
