Source:EW April 28, 2010Adopting the same tagline we saw on the AFM teaser poster, the OFFICIAL teaser poster for Scream 4 has made its debut touting the April 15, 2011 release date. It's direct and in your face, no doubt. What do you think?Director Wes Craven begins shooting the sequel this June in Michigan with a script by Kevin Williamson and returning cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette.Craven tells EW of the story: "There have been 10 years of no Ghostface, but there has been the movie-within-a-movie Stab. We have fun with the idea of endless sequels, or “sequelitis” as Kevin calls it in the script. Sid goes through these three horrendous things, and Stab was based on those horrible things. And then they’ve been taken by a studio and run into the ground in a series of sequels. She has been off by herself and living her own life, and she’s even written a book that has gotten a lot of critical acclaim. She’s kind of put her life back together in the course of these 10 years. Such an iconic face I can't help but love that poster. It's simple but effective. It's been so long since we've had a Scream film I'll be going to see it regardless of whether or not it sucks.

What do people expect from a teaser poster? The face is famous within the Scream series and using it for the poster like this I think was perfect for the first poster.

Well I would have expected a black background for one, with the mask faded to black around the edges. All of the original posters have this black/white theme going, I would have liked that.This one is just boring. I know it's a teaser, but it looks like someone cropped the rest of the mask out and put a crappy red background.I suppose I like the the theme of "New Decade, new rules," just the idea that horror movies have changed so much even since the 90's. Just a thought.-Jon
