Days Of The Dead - Indianapolis, In - July 1-3, 2011 - stainboy - 05-20-2011 I know many of you might not be attending Days of the Dead this July in Indy, but I tell you....I was excited for the con all spring long waiting for summer to hit. Although I had already planned 100% to attend this con and already reserved a hotel room.... I did not expect this celebrity addition. This may or may not thrill many of you - but for those who it does thrill - it will thrill them beyond belief. The latest Headlining addition to the con is: ACE FREHLEY! How awesome is this?????????????????????? Anyone else attending? Days Of The Dead - Indianapolis, In - July 1-3, 2011 - Chainsaw - 05-21-2011 Perhaps you've heard and don't mind, or simply perhaps you haven't heard. Ace was a guest at Monster Mania this past March and, for MANY people, it didn't go so well. Now, I did not attend the convention but rather read a sh*t load of attendee feedback on the Monster Mania forum. Ace was a complete douche to people. To many it was painfully obvious he didn't want to be there and was simply cashing in. He didn't want to carry on a conversation with people; several people said he didn't even look up at them. Charging $500 to sign a guitar to get his piece of what he assumed to be an Ebay auction. I don't write this to be an hiney but simply to inform so people don't get over excited, just to suffer severe disappointment when they get to his table. One could say it was a bad day..... from what I read I don't believe that is the case. Just sayin'. I've read countless books on KISS and even Frehley, specifically. Never had the opportunity to meet him though. Funny enough, I'm not sure I would be prepared for a nice meeting with Ace. The guy is a complete loser in real life....however, my envy for him as a rock star, perhaps revolves around that jackass mentality. I kind of expect him to be a jerk. If there's one thing Gene Simmons loves, it's money. He knows that by kicking Ace out of the band, not once, but essentially twice, that he'd be losing money...a lot of it - when he choose to replace Ace with Tommy Thayer. Point is, if Gene is willing to lose money in order to get Ace out of his life, then Ace must be the biggest jerk of them all. I anticipate posting my story when I meet him this July. In the meanwhile, thanks for the chime in. But as Jason said, I read a lot of the negative comments people had to say about Ace after Monster Mania and was really disappointed. I almost went JUST to meet Ace and am completely relieved to hear I wasn't missing out on much. Not to mention I didn't have half a grand to have a guitar signed. That's just ridiculous.... Days Of The Dead - Indianapolis, In - July 1-3, 2011 - IbDaToNeGuY - 05-22-2011 I will gladly be walking past his table with no regrets  . There are certain celebs that I don't think that their personality is worth my money . But weither he's there or not , this is gonna be a fun show especially with Brynarski lol mike, Days Of The Dead - Indianapolis, In - July 1-3, 2011 - stainboy - 05-22-2011 (05-22-2011, 08:03 PM)IbDaToNeGuY link Wrote: I will gladly be walking past his table with no regrets  . There's one guy no one ever has to worry about having a jackass attitude. Days Of The Dead - Indianapolis, In - July 1-3, 2011 - IbDaToNeGuY - 05-23-2011 lol yeah I remember seeing the " fight " he had in the bar at the first HorrorHound . Well it was more of a 1 punch KO , but still pretty entertaining . He was really nice to me and my mom when we met him but that was early on the first day so I guess the beers hadn't settled in just yet lol Days Of The Dead - Indianapolis, In - July 1-3, 2011 - stainboy - 05-23-2011 (05-23-2011, 01:05 AM)IbDaToNeGuY link Wrote: lol yeah I remember seeing the " fight " he had in the bar at the first HorrorHound .
