Can Someone Give Me Info On This? - 420Smiles - 08-27-2011 In 2003 Easter Unlimited (Fun World DIV) made "Metallic" Ghostface masks. I read on Ghostface.co.uk that these "Metallic" (Red,Blue,Purple and Green versions) are very rare. The site also said these masks pop up on Ebay from time to time and actually go for a pretty hefty price. Is this a fact? I am asking cause I have never been into GhostFace or the Fun World masks...........I\'m more of a Jason and Freddy kinda guy. Any factual info would be a great help to me. Thanks!!! Can Someone Give Me Info On This? - hornetsfanjc - 08-27-2011 Hey - yeah those are pretty RARE. They DO NOT pop up very often. There is a few on Ebay at the moment with BIN of $65.00. I would assume that this is a fair price for these types of mask considering they are pretty hard to come by. I wasn\'t really into Scream masks either but now i\'m hooked. I\'ve always been a HUGE Jason fan and always will be but i wanted to take another route in my collecting habits and chose Ghostface. Now i have 3 Fearsome Faces (Fun World Div. stamped) Scream 2 masks. I have about 7 Scream 3 masks, a Scream 4 Production Mask w/C.O.A and various other Fun World Masks both Vintage and NEW. Including a few Scream 4 Walgreens Re-Shoot masks. Really digging Ghostface masks! Can Someone Give Me Info On This? - GraveOctober - 08-27-2011 I don\'t mean to insult anyone\'s interest but are these masks really "rare" per-say? It would seem, like anything, they are only given as much value as you let them have. For what reason would you want to own a red or silver Scream mask, especially a price over original retail value? It would seem collecting Scream masks is an entirely different game that I\'m not use to. I understand the rarity of the Fantastic and Fearsome Faces, it\'s like owning a screen used or "movie mold" mask even, but the later releases were cash ins from the film by Fun World and Easter Unlimited. They\'re rarity seems to only stimulate from the release of Scream 4. Like I said, I don\'t mean to offend anyone, but in my opinion it\'s a little strange to concentrate on that single design so INTIMATELY. Maybe someone else can explain it to me. Can Someone Give Me Info On This? - hornetsfanjc - 08-27-2011 I don\'t have none of the metallic ones. They are considered rare based on the fact that not many were produced and the actual run was short lived at best. All of my Scream masks, well most of them are considered "rare" in the Scream world. The only ones i don\'t have YET is a Fantastic Faces, which is the mask that started it all. You don\'t see Fearsomes or Fantastics around that often - they don\'t produce them anymore. They are very rare to come by and when one does pop up on let\'s say Ebay for example it usually leads to a bidding war because of how sought after these masks ARE. Same applies to a Scream 3 mask. Since there is 1 supplier of these masks which too many people don\'t know about - it makes this particular mask considered RARE. They aren\'t WIDELY available and when this suplier runs out of stock then eventually at some point the Scream 3 mask will be right up there with the Fantastics and Fearsomes in terms of rariety. Myself - i wouldnt really pay excessivley for a metallic Ghostface as i really don\'t care to have one at the moment and even if i did it would be for the simple fact of placing it in my collection and not because i would compare it to a Fantastics/Fearsomes. Thats my view on it. |
