What will be disappointing is when kids look back at the original and think it looks lame compared to the new version.

I\'m very excited to see this one. I think it will be interesting to see updated elements from the original. I can only hope for minimal CGI effects.
As far as kids thinking the original looks lame compared to the remake.... I think this is unavoidable and, to be honest, quite understandable. For me it\'s all about what you watched growing up. Films like the Evil Dead remake are what the majority of kids today are being exposed to for the first time. These films have a completely different look and feel to what we\'re used to. I can actually relate in having just watched the original Night of the Living Dead for the very first time a couple of months ago. I honestly found it hard to watch.... even that film had such a different look and feel to what I watched growing up. I can still appreciate it for the classic I know it to be, I just didn\'t enjoy it.

My sister in law and boyfriend saw The Fog remake and thought it was "sooo good". So I watched it thought it was terrible, to the point I almost didn\'t make it through the whole thing. So I tell them to watch the original...which they had no idea the version they loved was a remake...ugh. They watched it and told me they thought it was horrible.
BUT as someone who loves the Evil Dead I was skeptical about the remake...but I cannot wait for this! looks scary, and gory as heck!
