Hockey Mask Painting Question - Krypt Kreeper - 03-27-2004

I know alot of you guy are plain sick of these "painting help" threads but I really need your help, whats the best way to paint the scuff mark the nose of a part3/4 hockey? I tried using grey, white and even black acrylic paint but it never comes out right, I was thinking about after spraying on the white primer, I would cut out a piece of tape shaped like the scuff mark then paint around it with the off-white base coat leaving a white mark on the nose, whould that work or could you guys could give me some pointers?

Dab a napkin in black or brown acrylic paint and smudge it wherever you need it. Works great.

You don\'t paint the smudge, you rub it off. Get your mask a good base coat, and then use a medium grit sand paper to sand the mask down to the plastic, or resin. When you do the acrylic paint washes, go VERY lightly over the nose, and the edges of the paint should grab the acrylic for the right look.
