I just saw the TCM remake, and it was amazing! 100% better than the first one. I got the deluxe pack (2 disk set) and it is sweet. I want to get Justins mask SO badly now that I saw the movie.
GO WATCH IT! And whoever already saw it, watch it agian! :lol:

Agreed. I just finished watching it and it\'s pretty good but it\'s not as good as the original, by far.
Just because we see more of bubba, or more blood, or more killings doesn\'t mean it\'s the better of the two.

In all honesty, in 74 TCM was great but the remake has so many great elements that made this movie just stand out. I mean no one can compete with the Original because that is what started it all by come on I mean look at the new bubba he is just badass, in my opion I think the new film gave me what has been missing for horror films for along time, the horror. This was the first movie that I have seen in along time that actually made me jump at the Theatre & yeah it is loud there & dam it had some great parts. The 2 movies just have so many different quality\'s, I mean what is really the same anyway\'s besides the time it was based, bubba & a old van with a bunch of kids & of coarse the name. I think for what they did witht the movie it was dam good, probably one of favorite horror films as of right now & I do still love the original, there will be people who agree then disagree but it is all good, that\'s what make us human & how we all like different things. If there was not a TCM 74 there probably would not be a TCM 2003. I love the film & I don\'t smoke purple crack & I am sure Nightmare Killer does not either, he is young, this movie is his generation so of coarse he will love it.
Anyways, to each his own.

I feel that orginal doesn\'t miss the horror at all. When the original first came out, nobody had seen anything as sadistic as that. Any older person that you talk to about this movie will mostly likely say it scared the crap out of them and that a lot of people would walk out of the theatre. I mean shit must of had enough horror in it for be banned in certain countries...
Don\'t get me wrong I like the remake as much as the next fellow. I was at the store the day it came out to buy a Special/Limited edition copy, but to say a remake of the cult classic is 100% better is kind of asinine. The remake may have showed more of bubba and focused more on him, but I feel how they portrayed the family in the original made it a more of a total package for a horrifying experience. The dinner scene, which the remake lacked, has to be one of the most horrifying scenes in any horror movie.
There is just one thing I cannot forgive the remake for. Showing bubba\'s face...Giving him excuse to wear the face because he had the face eating disease takes away alot of his terror. You feel sorry for him IMHO. But by giving him excuse to wear people\'s faces takes aways bubba\'s- I really don\'t know the word to use...esscence maybe? You didn\'t know why bubba wore other people\'s faces except for the fact that he is one sick motherfucker who likes wearing the faces of people who he brutally butchered...seems more terrifying to me though.
Well I\'m sorry for the rant, and I\'m sorry if i rubbed anyone the wrong way. Just burns me up when little kids (no one in particular) have a case of diarrhea of the mouth.
