Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - stainboy - 05-17-2005 I most notably notice Sideshow\'s doll bodys being a little too waifish normally, but the last two Jason figures (pt. 7 , and Hell version) both have unbelievably small body types, considering Kane Hodder\'s large body physique while in costume. I have several Sideshow 12", and figures like Freddy work with this body type. But even the original bubba looks too small. Simply placing a mass around the belly of the figure doesn\'t help either ,as they then have disproportionately thin arms and legs. Anyone else agree? Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - mike - 05-17-2005 45.00 what do u expect they use the same doll for all figs Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - RCuomo 2.0 - 05-17-2005 Very true Mike! Imagine if they did make different body types for the different figures? Youd be paying a hell of alot more then 40-45.... be happy they are even being made ![]() Cheers Steven Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - stainboy - 05-18-2005 I disagree. Believe you me, Sideshow enterprises is making serious dough by selling the figures at $45 a piece. If they didn\'t, they wouldn\'t be running the company. The Mego Doll corporation from the 1970\'s were able to make a varying body type for their Incredible Hulk and The Thing dolls, knowing that thier body types would not be the same as the doll body type used on their Spiderman dolls, and the dolls cost the same. I realize that Sideshow would not be able to make a different body type for every figure they make, but I assume that it would be possible to sculpture a second body type (one that was not so rail thin) and produce it for their bigger framed figures. (And they do have many that they would fit the second body type) Two body types would not put the company in the hole, infact I think it would boost sales as it the more realisitc figures would up sales. Wow, apparently I\'m the only one who has an issue with this. For some reason, I assumed that there were others who agreed. I guess this is just another notch in my belt, labeling me a weird. Thanks for the comments though Mike and RCuomo... Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - Mutilated - 05-18-2005 They keep using the same mold for the bodies just to save them money instead of having to keep scultping different bodies. Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - myers-san - 05-18-2005 Go play with yur fu$#ing dolls.... ![]() Jason. Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - The Three Headed Monster - 05-18-2005 I have noticed the skinny bods, Stain. You ain\'t alone in this world. Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - RCuomo 2.0 - 05-18-2005 Ive noticed it... but to me isnt a huge deal... guess Im just one of those people to be thankful that someone is making something like this? cheers Steven Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - VF31 - 05-18-2005 to me i will never own a sideshow jason fig... i just dont like figs with real cloth for clothes...looks too bulky and barbie and yea the same body mold for all the figs is weak too Does Anyone Else Notice Sideshow's Waifish Bodies? - Ben_Forsaken - 05-19-2005 I actually like them \'because\' of the real clothes. As for small Jason bodies? Yeah that\'s been my only complaint for awhile. I don\'t know why they didn\'t use the same body as the part 3 doll. That\'s the only \'big\' one. All the others, Freds, Leathers, Mike, have had the same body. |
