I am NOT a photographer by any means... You guys blow me away with the pics you capture of your masks. I\'ve taken a few around the house today of my PSYCHO, no special lighting...just trying to find the right spot with the right lighting. Like any of these? Which one do you think looks best? -djfrance

Like any of these???
The box arrived yesterday. Not just any box... but THE box that got me started collecting masks in the first place. For years I\'ve browsed Ebay looking at independent Myers masks. I\'ve owned several official crappy MM masks. But I\'ve always wanted a dead-on replica of that mask the takes me back to my youth, to my very first horror movie in the late 70\'s. I had pretty much settled on a Nightmare Man 78, so instead of buying one off ebay, I decided to go straight to the source. Justin Mabry had made a name for himself in the independent mask market with Myers replicas. So I wrote... Can you make me a NM78? Out of production, he replied. Hmmmmmm. How about a Closet Monster (I had done my homework). Again, out of production. It was then that Justin suggested a new mask he was working on called "The Pyscho".... and so the journey began.
I have met some great people in my cyberspace mask adventures. I also own some incredible pieces. But it all came down to 1 very specific mask. And now that it\'s here... I couldn\'t be happier. I feel like I own a piece of cinematic history. I know it\'s not THE mask from the film. But it really gives you that same sense of having the REAL DEAL in your possession. I owe Justin a huge thank you. Sure, we pay him our money for these masks. You may say shouldn\'t that be enough?Answer is simple...Nope! The way I see it without their skill, craftsmanship and artistic ability, it would never happen. So again... THANK YOU JUSTIN!
And for the rest of you.... I hope you enjoy the pics. I do NOT own an awesome digital camera. It\'s decent though.
When I first started looking for pics of MYERS masks, I noticed that all the good ones were in shadow, almost hidden. I wanted to see them with some lighting. So to prove a point (THE PYSCHO is INCREDIBLE in any environment) I took the mask outside in broad daylight. No reason to hide this one! Enjoy!

Wow. Seeing it against that blue sky, in the wide open daylight really does show ya how damn incredable a mask it is. Not saying the shadowed pics are bad, hell that\'s what we all want to replicate right? But shadow can be made to cover, or hide things, so you see what the photogorapher wants you to see. Not daylight, any and every little flaw or inconsistancy jumps out BIG time, and yet I don\'t see a single one on that mask. It still looks like the same mask that\'s usually shrouded in shadow, that has haunted our thoughts and dreams since the first time we were introduced to it! Really fantastic pictures DJ, I mean that! Those few shots right there have got me even more excited to see my copy!! And Justin, whoever the hell you sold your soul to, nice job man! Payed off!
