My First Mask Nearly Ready - Last_of_the_Brunnen-G - 09-20-2005
I\'m about ready now to do a mold of my casey jones mask. I\'m probably going to do the first cast in a resin compound, so I wanted to ask those of you who have made masks in resin. How do you keep it from pooling in the mold and being too incosistent in thickness? Thanks.

LOL have fun....when i used to make fiberglass hockey masks...i had to sit and whirlpool the resin around evenly LAYER...by layer...i used to have an idea of making a Silicone pull then can lay inside the mold...on tope the resin making it a two piece mold kinda...the silicone would keep the the resin from pooling in the nose...just have some fort of weight...so u can have it evenly thick all over..it should work easily....seeing only silicone can still to silicon ^_^ B) have fun

This is my own cast. And it has been a challenge to make. Lots of symetry and mistakes and retries, etc. I\'ll try to get a pic of the sculpture at some point.
