Figure Painting - antisocial1 - 10-25-2005 My camera is really crappy, so I apologize for not being able to see what needs to be done... but, as happens with many of these figures, the paint strayed a little from where it was supposed to go. On the Frank mask, the teeth and eyes need help. And a few other things. I have no idea how to go about cleaning him up, but is anyone here good at touching up these things? Figure Painting - Mutilated - 10-25-2005 I\'d ask trav, he\'s a god at painting figures. Do you have more pics? Figure Painting - travsall - 10-25-2005 Yeah, I find a LOT of off the shelves figures need work, part of the fun for me though, I love customizing! What you\'re gonna want to do, is go to a hobby store (Michales is great) and get some acrylic paints, looks like arctic white would look nice for the eyes, get any other colors you want to touch up, or just have some fun with! It\'s cheap paint, about a buck a bottle. Also, get some gloss acrylic based sealer too. When you paint, you\'ll want the eyes to be smooth as possible, so squeeze a little of the white paint in a small container (I like to use milk bottle lids) and add a little water, just a couple small drops, then mix it up with a brush. To apply it, take some open celled foam, and cut it into a smallish point, then dab it on lightly, and blow out the air bubbles. Let that set for a sec and do another coat or 2 until it looks good. If you slop anywhere else, you can just rub it off with your fingernail when it\'s dry! When the paint on the eyes is dry, add a thick coat of the sealer, it looks whitish when you alppy it, kinda like milk, but it dries clear! And since you\'re so eager to show off your work Spaz... Figure Painting - SPAZ - 10-25-2005 yeah Trav does some awesome work ya know I think me and him are the only ones on here that custom our figs LOL |
