I was looking at some pics here on the board, and this little girl, probably about 5 waled up and started naming off all the characters in a whispering voice. "Chucky, Micheal Myers, Freddy the burned guy." Amazing, considering I live in the bible belt.

That rocks. My cousin is 7 now and loves Jason. She hasn\'t watched any movies that I know of..just sees me walking around a lot lol. It\'s cool.

hehe, my ex fiance has temp. custody of a little boy, he will be 4 in june, but for a good while now after hes been in my room, he knows jason, pinhead, michael, freddy, and bubba, he always said when he gets bigger hes gonna get a bubba mask and a chainsaw

That is awesome! very impressive. This makes me think of something that really gets on my nerves...when I was dressed like jason for the costume party last week I had so many people(adults to be exact) say hey its freddy!!! I hate that... dont these people know that freddy and jason look nothing alike.....morons...lol. at least the youngens know the difference. lmao

Well childrens imaginations are much more at work at a younger age than adults, so you can\'t blame some people for being ignorant when they don\'t have an interest in horror, because at their point in their life, they have made decisions on what they like and they tune out everything else. On the other hand, children are still taking in knowledge, so they are more likely to match the names with faces correctly even with the smallest ammount of exposure. Its the same with learning a new language at a young age; when you\'re older, its its nearly impossible to get it perfect because you are not in that age where your mind is most capable to retain such a large ammount of knowledge.
