I was hoping someone could point out some good ways to reshape hockey masks?
I know that this is irritating and alot of peeps hate to have someone bother them about Hockey Mask info and stuff so please forgive me.
You dont even have to post, PM me or email me which ever.

it depends, is it abs, fiberglass or resin?
for abs and fiber glass i think you need to heat it up, using a blow torch from far away and slowly bending it

If it\'s an ABS Hockey Mask, use a paint stripping gun. I\'ve done this a few times and it seems to work fine. Just don\'t get it too close to the Hockey Mask for an extended period of time or else it will start to bubble. Just back and forth until you feel it bend easily. Get it in the shape you want and run it under cold water to set it quickly. I suppose a hair dryer might work, but paint stripping guns are much hotter and will get the job done pretty quick.
I\'ve also head of putting it in the oven, but becareful...there isn\'t much control ofver warping and if you\'re not careful it will just collapse into mush.
I\'m not expert, I just know what worked for me when I wanted to reshape a couple hockey masks.

I\'ve used the oven technique a few times and it worked well for me. Preheat to 300 degrees and pop in the oven for about 45 seconds. Repeat if necessary and shape as you go... just don\'t leave it in too long or it will distort.

just put it on a baking sheet lined with tin foil. Don\'t leave it in for too long and keep an eye on it. Some people will tell you its too risky, but as long as your careful you won\'t ruin the mask.

Put on some oven mitts and pass it over a burner on your stovetop for a little while until it gets pliable, hold it in the shape you want and run it under some cool water for a few seconds. I\'d avoid the oven if at all possible. The stovetop will allow for a little more control over where you want your softer spots to be when you reshape it.
Or just spend the $25.00 and get the heat gun (paint stripping gun). Either way will work. Remember to try not to heat the painted side too much as it will soften the finish. :wink:
