Dolls by Stuart Gordon (1986)

This movie used to freak me out as a kid when I was about 8 yrs old. I couldn\'t sleep close to a room with porcelain dolls for years after that... or barely stand to look at them at that. Anyone else ever see it? I just picked up a copy on eBay to bring back the memories... hopfeully I can break away from the nightmares this time.

I remeber this movie.
One of the first horror movies I ever seen.

I loved it, and yeah, it had the same effects on me as it did you.

I mean come on.......these things could practically hide anywhere! lol

Very good movie

The little pixie thing scarred me so much! But, wasn\'t that Duffty from RoboCop 2 that adopted the little girl?

Yea, thats the same guy from Robocop 2. It freaked me out how the old man used the stopwatch to shrink the girls dad into the Punch Doll. I remember him specically saying in a creepy voice, "You know Ralph.... deep down inside..... youuuuu know." I can\'t wait to watch it again.

I almost grabbed that on DVD at BestBuy yesterday!
I still like to pronounce antique "An-ta-Que". It just cracked me up when the blond chick says it wrong (she says it a few different ways, but that\'s the one that stuck out for me).
It would be fun to do a Mr Punch mask. Maybe I\'ll do that...

That would be awesome Aaron! I\'d be all over that. I\'d especially love to see a doll... maybe later down the road. Somone did a Joker mask a while back that really reminded me of Punch. I\'ll have to see if I can find it.

This is how I remember the punch doll from the film in my head. I\'m sure there were quite a few differences... but this was the jist of it.

Ahhh... here was the similarity. Jangle the Jester from Darkside.
