Thought Id jump on and show some pictures of my newly aquired Savini mold Nate I got today...
and..my armour.
One of my best friends is a blacksmith (you can see his website via the links section on my own site)Excuse the serious look in some armour pictures but you feel like you could run through a wall in this gear!

Aw man our teenager would LOVE to have a set of armor like that! How much does it weigh & how long did it take him to make it? Awesome mold too...thanks for sharing pics with us.

The armour (gauntlets and sollerets coming) weighs about 50LBS, with the chain shirt and others bits its about 90lbs.
It takes Robb about 150 hours to make a full suit....you should go to his site and check it out..I know he does export stuff to the states...and a shitload of LOTR stuff..

Sorry mate, believe me I dont take complements lightly...it was either do the business side thing or write 3-4 , lines on how much your praise means to me..!
seriously though,...being a commercial artist is like having a split personality...it MUST come from the heart for me, or the piece just dosent work, (this does not include other work like corporate pieces, or other naff jobs
hahaahabut Im sure this makes sense to the other artists who make their living at what they do. Theres a time to be sensitive and a time to be shrewd, and sometimes I automatically go into the negotiation mode, because if i dont get the job, I dont eat. But I sometimes feel like if I show true nature, concering my work, Ill get walked on. Ive got it down pat, in that I produce continuously, and then I can go right away and call the publisher or whomever and negotiate..
sometimes its a double edged sword.....which is exactly what Id like to go along with thon armour! yeeha.

Thats some cool armor, and that nate bust is great! can you get stuff from him direct or does someone else have the molds?
I have just had a look on your site, really nice work, love the karlof painting.
I wish sometimes i had stuck to doing painting etc instead of going into the rubber stuff, i can draw but it is an effort,and i am crap at likeness drawing.
Very inspiring stuff, i may just break out the oil paints and have a go!
