Computer Help? - mike - 02-02-2006 ok i cant get any sound outta my speakers i here a click when i turn them on but no sounds come out.. i reinstalled the sound software that came with the computer but nothing ..dunno what else to do any ideas? Computer Help? - Martoch - 02-02-2006 Did this just happen out of the blue? First thing to check is your device manager for any yellow !s. Right click \'my computer\'--propterties--hardware tab--device manager. You can also remove the audio devices from there, reboot, and let Windows detect/install the drivers again. Check for the obvious stuff like cable not plugged in all the way/loose and your volume properties for a possible mute. Do you have integrated sound or a sound card? Forget the software cd. Uninstall those drivers and reinstall new ones from their webpage. You\'ll have to go a different route if its onboard sound. When you right click My Computer, and click Manage, then Device Manager, Is there a RED X on the sound icon? Computer Help? - Cory - 02-02-2006 if you have a creative labs soundcard then you probably got creative audio diagnostics agent...run that and it will test speakers and the card for you. |
