Extra Help... - jf5550 - 02-04-2006

As I\'ve posted numerous time, I\'m working on preparations for a short horror film for one of my final projects before graduation. The finale takes place in a small cottage and has a significant amount of blood.

Herein lies the problem...it is my parent\'s cottage. So I\'m doing everything I can to not get blood on the floor, staining the walls, etc. So far I have planned to line the edges of carpet with garbage bags, then lay tarps across teh floor, more garbage bags and then big blankets over the tarps.

First off, is there any other ideas you guys have that could help me not get blood all over our floor and everything? Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing? And I\'m also wondering if fake blood gets on a wall, if it will stain in a short amount of time or at all?

Sorry, once the film is done, I\'ll stop making these goofy posts Smile

Cheers and thanks,
jf

it all depends on the dye used in the blood some can wash out some leave a little stain somestay forever best bet if u can to get a old rug or cheap ass carpet nad lay down either way red blood will stain to some affect depending on type of walls u could paint over..but halloween never used blood and it was great

Use another cottage...

Or you could always buy a cheap rug or something to put over the floor so if blood gets on it you can just throw the rug away.

Definately keep your tarps under the rug, if you\'re planning on using a lot of blood. Tongue
Maybe try covering the walls with something that will peel off and then painting over that... I really don\'t know, though. I wish you luck.

I\'d say you\'ve got the right idea with covering the walls and floor with plastic. The only thing you need to worry about is spilling anything during removal.
