Psp Problems... - WarLocK - 01-12-2006 I\'ve come across these types of problems before and 90% of the time its the USB compatibility problem. If you have an older PC or a custom built one, it more than likely has USB 1.0 ports. The PSP device and cable is USB 2.0 and therefore it hinders the transfer speed, etc. Upgrading to USB 2.0 is the way to go. You can get a slot w/ 4 ports to go into an empty bay if you have one. It\'s as simple as opening up your PC case and plugging in the power adapter so that it reads from the USB drive bay. Check to see if it even recognizes the PSP by right clicking MY COMPUTER, then go to MANAGE, click DEVICE MANAGER, and look for an "!" next to your USB device. You can troubleshoot from there. Psp Problems... - Homicidal#9 - 01-12-2006 it recognizes it no problem. Its listed as psp device 1.0 or something along those lines. i am pretty sure it\'s a pc problem and not a psp problem. i finally managed to get it to work last night for quite some time, so i am assuming everything is okay. I want to thank everyone who helped me out on this one. It is truly appreciated guys... thanks again, Tommy Psp Problems... - TallDarkandDisfigured - 01-12-2006 Probably a dumb question but did you try a different USB port? I have on eon the fron of my towwer that kicks my cell phone off every 5 minutes... Might be a bad connection. So I use one in the back and it works fine. Just a thought. Psp Problems... - Homicidal#9 - 01-12-2006 yeah...i tried the two in the front as well as all of the ones in the back...and it would not work to begin with...i finally managed to get it going somehow though...thanks for the idea though Tommy |
